Launcher Max
The high-performance line thrower designed for tactical teams. The rugged aluminum launcher deploys a line, a grappling hook and climbing line, or a grappling hook and tactical ladder for method of entry and vessel boarding – from surface or subsurface locations. With the RGES SF-40 payload it becomes a boat-stopping tool.
MAXimum Distance
Deploys a 3,200 lb test line horizontally up to 330 ft / 100 m and a 7.0 mm climbing line with grappling hook vertically up to 165 ft / 50 m. A 65 ft / 20 m tactical ladder and grappling hook can be fully deployed.
MAXimum Safety
The safety mechanism is “always on”, resetting automatically when a projectile is inserted. The projectile’s “Push-Click” engagement allows easy reloading, even in the dark, and a pressure relief burst disk prevents unsafe pressure build-up from exposure to extreme heat. Each launcher has a luminous pressure gauge for close visibility at night.
MAXimum Performance
Multi-shot capacity: the patented nozzle valve lets any number of projectiles be pre-charged and stored with the unit, for deployment of multiple projectiles in rapid succession. The 4,500 psi high-pressure projectile adds about twice the range of the standard projectile.
Built for the field
- Launcher housing cast from 356-T6 aluminum for the best weight-to-strength ratio.
- Barrels powder-coated black for covert operations, with a lifetime guarantee against all hazards.
- Launches from a RHIB on the surface, or subsurface via diver at depths up to 32 ft / 10 m.
- Inert to seawater – for land-based, surface and subsurface maritime environments.
- With the RGES SF-40 payload, a less-than-lethal boat-stopping tool.
- Every standard ALM kit includes the ALM tool kit and a Pelican case.
Line options
Any line type can be combined with any projectile option. Custom line options and lengths are available on request.

ALM barrel
Built for the missions of modern tactical and special forces units, for land-based and maritime use. Housing cast from 356-T6 aluminum.
Folding stock
Designed for greater accuracy of deployment; folds into a convenient carry handle.
Standard line projectile
Throws a variety of payloads including line, rope or ascending ladders of different lengths. Distance depends on the service pressure and the line used.
High pressure projectile
Service pressure of 4,500 psi. The additional volume and pressure add about twice the range of the standard line projectile.
Climbing grappling hook
Three-pronged titanium hook, dipped in EFEX to reduce its sound signature and certified for climbing.
Grappling hook with barbed tines
Titanium three-pronged hook with barbed tips to ensure anchoring, EFEX-coated and certified for climbing.
Climbing lines & payloads
Black climbing lines in 5.5, 7.0, 8.4 and 11.0 mm as standard; custom ropes on request. The RGES SF-40 payload can be deployed for less-than-lethal boat stopping.
Tactical ladder
Lightweight, durable and acoustically covert: nylon webbing with fiberglass rungs every 12 in / 30 cm. Side members have a combined breaking strength of 4,800 lbs / 2,180 kg. Custom lengths on request.
Streamline filler hose
Delivers compressed air from a high-pressure compressor, an SCBA tank or a SCUBA tank to charge the projectile. Adapters are available for each air source (American SCBA, European SCBA-DIN, SCUBA and compressor).
ALM tool kit
Included with each standard ALM kit – all the tools needed for operational maintenance.
Kit carry bag
Rugged Cordura bag with two external and one internal zippered pockets, reinforced water-resistant vinyl bottom and reflective strips.
“Pelican” transport / storage case
Unbreakable, watertight, dust-proof, chemical- and corrosion-proof case of Ultra Impact structural copolymer. Can be adapted to fasten to the rail of a vessel.

ALM kits
Recommended basic configurations for specific uses. ALM kits are modular – additional lines, projectiles and accessories can be added – and custom kits are available on request. Kits 470–475 use the 4,500 psi high-pressure projectile.
