Coast guard
& naval

From replenishment at sea to vessel boarding and interdiction, ResQmax systems give naval and coast guard crews a non-pyrotechnic, intrinsically safe way to get the first line across – and a non-lethal way to stop a vessel.

Ship-to-ship line deployment (RASing / UNREPS)

Replenishment at sea (RASing), underway replenishment (UNREPS) and towlines to vessels in distress all start with a messenger line between ships in varying sea states. Equipped with a low-recoil projectile and the right line, the ResQmax™ gives the accuracy and range to make the first shot count while keeping a safe separation between vessels. Luminescent projectile covers help at night. Powered by compressed air, it is non-pyrotechnic, intrinsically safe and suitable for Class 1, Division 1 environments.

Surface & subsurface boarding

The ALM launcher deploys a grappling hook from a RHIB on the surface, or subsurface via diver at depths up to 32 ft / 10 m. At the surface it launches a grappling hook and climbing line to vertical heights of 165 ft / 50 m, or a grappling hook and ascending ladder to 65 ft / 20 m.

Man overboard rescue

Visual contact with a person overboard is lost almost immediately, and adverse sea states or darkness make search and rescue even harder. The ResQmax™ delivers an auto-inflating sling and retrieval line to the victim in seconds, before the crew loses sight of them.

Less-than-lethal interdiction of non-compliant vessels

Using proprietary geometries and materials with extremely high tensile strength-to-weight ratios, the RGES product line offers a less-than-lethal means of stopping vessels of all sizes – for port security, asset protection, protection of exclusive economic zones against illegal fishing, and interdiction of smuggling, illegal immigration and piracy.

Port protection

Whether berthed at home or in a foreign port, naval assets are vulnerable to attack. The RGES S100 is a lightweight, highly portable, modular static barrier entanglement system that establishes a perimeter of any length – a clear line of demarcation and a first line of less-than-lethal defence.
